Bioinformatics

As part of the DRESDEN-concept Genome Center, the bioinformatics unit offers a variety of bioinformatics analysis workflows to help answer a wide range of biological questions. Most of our analyses are genome-wide, covering the genome, transcriptome and epigenome. In addition to bioinformatics analyses, we offer bioinformatics counselling and courses.

The bioinformatics unit of the Genome Center is divided into two teams:

The Short Read Bioinformatics team analyses short-read data both for bulk and single cells such as bulk and single-cell RNA-seq. Visit our Portfolio and find more detailed information about our main applications and developments.

The Long Read Bioinformatics team analyses long-read data mainly in the context of de novo asemblies and variant detection.
