NGS competence centers of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft

The DRESDEN-concept Genome Center is one of four german wide NGS competence centers, which have been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) to provide services for medium to lare scaled sequencing projects. The four centres offer scientists advice on sequencing projects and bioinformatics.

Large Genome Sequencing Initiatives

The DRESDEN-concept Genome Center is actively engaged in several international Genome Sequencing projects. Our special expertise lies in genome assembly and we are actively participating in several synergistic sequencing projects, namely: 

• The Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP) of the Genome 10K (G10K) organization
• The Bat1K project 
• Euro-Fish project
