DcGC PORTFOLIO

The DcGC offers a broad variety of sequencing applications for bulk and single-cell sequencing of genome, transcriptome, or epigenome, using short and long-read platforms, and also for spatial transcriptomics and proteomics.

While we maintain a portfolio of widely used methods, we often support projects with customized workflows or new developments, to best address any special needs that projects might have. Please see the Collaborate with us page for avenues to bring your technologies into our portfolio.

We are currently structured into five interconnected Laboratory Units and an overarching Bioinformatics Unit.

Within the Short-read, Long-read, Single-cell and Spatial Omics Units, we offer services that enable profiling of different omics layers in bulk or single-cell resolution. These include standard and tailored methods for:

  1. Short-read sequencing of genome, transcriptome and epigenome, mostly appropriate for quantitative analysis such as SNP profiling, differential gene expression and quantitative characterization of the epigenomic landscape;
  2. Long-read sequencing of genome and transcriptome, suitable for qualitative analysis such as genome assembly, gene/isoform annotation, and analysis of large structural rearrangements;
  3. Single-cell sequencing of transcriptome and epigenome and targeted (panel-based) sequencing of genome and proteome;
  4. Spatial genomics analysis of full transcriptome and targeted transcriptome and proteome profiling.

The OpenLab Unit is a dedicated and fully-equiped laboratory designed to give researchers an open space for technology development, implementation of custom methods or for performing on-demand experiments.

The overarching Bioinformatics Unit supports researchers with analysis and interpretation of high-throughput sequencing data, and takes care of data management.

We have learned over the years that a thorough project discussion significantly improves the quality and success of experiments. Please contact us before planning your sequencing project to discuss methods and outcomes.
