We are happy to announce that the PromethION 24 machine has been added to the list of sequencers at the Genome Center. The PromethION offers high-throughput single molecule long-read sequencing data, and bases are called in real-time! It is an ideal sequencer for large genomes and projects, for example population-scale human genome and transcriptome sequencing, analysis of genome architecture and structural variants, and determination of epigenetic modifications of nucleotide bases at genome-wide level.
